Talbach via ferrata

The via ferrata next to the Talbach waterfall offers a variety of options and optimal conditions for every ability level. The easy entrance area is even suitable for children. In the lower part, the difficulty level slowly increases from A to D/E, and after each increase, you will find an emergency exit. Advanced climbers will be in good hands on the main section, which features 2 long rope bridges with a spectacular view of the waterfall. Climbing equipment can be rented at Jausenstüberl Talbach.

Alpine via ferrata on the Gerlossteinwand

The Zell mountain rescue team used 450 meters of steel cable, 300 handholds, 230 cable clamps, 150 drill anchors, and more to construct this alpine via ferrata. And the popularity of this route has rewarded them for their efforts: all age groups use it to climb the Gerlossteinwand. Secured by a continuous steel cable from the entrance to the exit, you can move along the steep rock face using handholds and stirrups. In Austria, it's called "kraxeln" (scrambling), which is exactly what the athletes do here. But no matter what everyone else calls it, we call it pure enjoyment!
